A fine art appraiser, consultant, researcher, and curator, Jennifer Cartwright is an established expert in the valuation of Canadian artwork. She has worked in the National Capital Region for nearly two decades and established Cartwright Appraisals in 2005. Since that time, she has prepared countless appraisals for private individuals, corporate clients, and national public institutions. Whether preparing reports for insurance, estate, or donation purposes, Jennifer works closely with collectors, artists, and arts professionals to prepare customized evaluations that are tailored to suit every client's needs.
Jennifer's expertise lies with the appraisal of contemporary and historical Canadian art, with a special interest in Indigenous art. Throughout her career, she has also been involved with various non-profit groups including the Inuit Art Foundation and the Coalition of New Canadians for Arts and Culture. She has also been a frequent contributor to the internationally recognized Inuit Art Quarterly and has curated exhibitions for the Carleton University Art Gallery and Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada.
